The Portage Place blitz tournament got off to a roaring start on Friday with 17 participants, including 8 newcomers. Joseph Van Wyk won the tournament in a playoff over Colin Prince and Jay Khedkar. Results as follows: 4.0 / 5.0 Joseph Van Wyk, Colin Prince, Jay Khedkar 3.5 Blair Rutter 3.0 Lorne/MIchael Gibbons, Daniel Dewar, Cory Letain 2.0 Carl Pottinger, Mathura Srinivasan, Alex Sousa 1.5 Raymond Levesque 1.0 Brian Ptosnick, Chris Pakarinen 0.0 Willian Madut, Garry Edwards, Josh Raill, Michael Gordon The next blitz tournament at Portage Place will be held on Friday, Feb. 16 at noon. |
