The Kent Oliver Memorial tournament is to be held this weekend (Jan. 11 to 13) in room [5L 24] at the University of Winnipeg. 5 round Swiss. Time Control of 2 hours per player. Entry fee of $25 for adults, $15 for juniors and seniors. Registration at 6:30 p.m. Friday evening with the first round starting at 7:00 p.m.

On Sunday, between the 4th and 5th rounds, the Manitoba Chess Association will hold its annual general meeting. The meeting is open to all members. The agenda will include a review of last year's financial results, election of officers and a discussion of plans for this year.
