There was a great turnout for the Medieval Chess Tournaments held today at the Medieval Festival in Cook's Creek.  Twenty-five players participated in the four-round novice tournament followed by 17 players in the four-round Open tournament.    The day was capped off with a human chess game (i.e. live persons acting as the pieces on a giant chess board) between local players Travis Taylor and Dustin Hein.
