Two active tournaments will be held at the Medieval Festival in Cook's Creek on Sat., July 24.    The tournaments will be held in the grotto at Immaculate Conception Church in Cook's Creek (15 km nort-east of Oakbank on Provincial Rd. 212).   For a map and festival details, go to: www.immaculate.ca

 The first tournament starts at 1:00 pm and is for unrated players.   Time control of 10 minutes per player per game.  5 round Swiss.   No entry fee.   Prize breakdown:  1st: $75, 2nd: $50, 3rd: $25

 The second tournament starts at 3:00 pm and is open (i.e. rated and unrated players).   Time control of 10 minutes per player per game.   5 round Swiss.   Entry fee of $10.    Prize breakdown:   Open $75, $50, $25.   Under 1700 rating $50, $25.  Unrated $25.  

 There is also a $10 admission fee to the Festival Grounds
