I think we have to thank Lorne Gibbons for arranging for the continued nice weather.

Eight players rated approximately 1800 and under  challenged for first place

Tomas Manicdao and Stephen Lipic, both at 2-0 clashed Sunday morning on Board 1, with Stephen emerging the victor guaranteeing him at least a tie for first going into the last round.

 

Manicdao won early in Round 3, so Stephen needed at least a draw to win the tournament.

In a clearly winning position against Ryne Swift, he missed something, and ended up losing.

Tomas and Stephen shared first place with 3-1.
