We'll have a active team championship again this summer. It will be held on June 21 .

 

The rules are the same as last year:

Four players per team.

Board 1 is open to everyone,

Board 2 is U2000,

Board 3 is U1800, a

nd Board 4 is U1600.

The total rating of a team must not exceed 7100 from the April 29 rating list. . Unrated players can play on Board 4 only and they are counted as 1599 players toward the team total rating.

Players must play in rating order.

 

As a modification, we will use match scores, not board scores.

 

Time control is 25 minutes each player per game.

 

Entry fee is $40 per team. 10% of entry fee goes to Manitoba Chess Association, the rest forms the prize fund.

Stephen Lipic and Lorne Gibbons are the ones to consult re: rating, eligibility and free agents.

I will update the list of teams and free agents frequently.
