We had a great time at the active chess tournament in Notre Dame de Lourdes today.  There were a total of 30 players, with 15 local players and 15 from Winnipeg.     For prize purposes, the tournament was divided into 3 sections, with Trevor Vincent winning the top section with a perfect score of 5 out of 5.   Isaac Wiebe turned in a strong performance to win the second section with 4 points.   Unrated player Alexander Iomdina took top honours in the third section with 3 points.  There was a total of 21 youngsters in the tournament (22 if you include Mr. Kaptsan).  The top Notre Dame players were Paolo Araullo (3.5 points), Marlon Araullo (3.0) and Bernadette Araullo (3.0).
