Congratulations to Team Manitoba for turning in a great performance at the national Chess Challenge held this weekend in Edmonton.   Our team finished in a solid 5th place, behind Ontario, Quebec, B.C. and Alberta with a score of 61.0 points, up 11.0 points from the previous year and by far the greatest improvement of any team.

 

Special congratulations to medal winners Dezhong Kong (2nd place, grade 3), Michael Pang (tied for 2nd, grade 5), Weixi Liu (3rd, grade 11) and Trevor Vincent (2nd, grade 12).
