Proven fact: chess makes kids smarter! Give your child a winning edge; give chess, a gift for a lifetime.

Congratulations to Ellen Nadeau of Kapuskasing.
Last week at the annual meeting she was elected Youth Coordinator of the Chess Federation of Canada.

Parents!  chess really does make kids smarter.

For decades we believed that the brain power you got at birth was all you were ever to have.
In the last few years discoveries were made that showed that the brain does get smarter with proper stimulus.
Chess is proven to be that stimulus, something any chess player could have told them decades ago.

Wow now in it's 14th year!!
To celebrate our 14th year we are allowing anyone 14 years or older (under 18) to play in the Northern Ontario Schools Chess Championships Finals on Saturday, October 18, 2008 without having to qualify.
