Chess in the park blitz tournaments continues every Friday at noon this summer at the Air Canada Park, Portage Ave. & Carlton St. Just show up a few minutes before noon to register. Entry is free. A night of upsets and miniatures.
Notable results- the draw on first board,Milord upsetting Hemphill, and Keer defeating Campbell. Looks like Lipnowski and Nikouline will renew their over the board rivalry next week. Games have been entered except for first board and Milord-Hemphill. Thanks to Alex and John for sending their games.

Round 2. July 2009 TNT Time trouble marred a few of the efforts tonight. Schulz had everything under control for most of the game, but consumed too much time trying to convert. Myron was up an exchange in a seemingly unloseable position - until a simple tactic was overlooked. Daniel Oberton joined the tournament and sent Khedkar hope early with a nice shot.
