2010 June TNT Round 3
Written by Tony Boron
Tuesday, 15 June 2010
Bince held the draw against Dawa to go to 2.5.  Kernetsky blundered with Joven having only one minute remaining, and Boron overcame a grim position against Mousseau. Schulz became the 4th player at 2.5 with a win over young Swift.
Final round next week.

Chess in the Park returns this summer, with a blitz tournament held at noon each Friday, starting on June 18 and continuing through until until August 13 (except for June 25).   The tournament will be held at Air Canada park, on the corner of Carlton & Portage Ave.  Games are 5 minutes per player with 4 or 5 rounds played, depending on the number of players.  There is no entry fee.  Just show up a few minutes before noon to register.

Chess in the Park is sponsored by the MCA and Downtown Winnipeg BIZ.   Prizes for the first tournament this Friday are donated by Soups Sandwiches & More.   Jonathon Zaczek will be the Tournament Director.  All are welcome to play.

Nothing that could be considered an upset tonight. Several players joined with a half point bye. That and a few draws leaves Rolando Bince with the only perfect score after two rounds.
