Tuesday, November 3 is the start of the six-round Swiss Tournament that is played on 6 consecutive Tuesdays ending December 8. (This is not a knockout tournament, players will play all 6 rounds) Please note that we intend to start the first round at 7:00 p.m. sharp. The "Shpan" is a Swiss (pairing) style tournaments with a time control of G /120 minutes [Each player has 2 hours to complete their moves, the game will be be 4 hours maximum] Start time is 7:00 pm and the TD will confirm costs ( $ 20 entry fee and CFC membership required) Registration for tournament - November 3 - approximately 6:30 pm to 6:50 pm Please note that we intend to start the first round at 7:00 p.m. sharp.Location: University of Winnipeg - Rm 4CM42

This is very near our old room of 5L24 and is in fact on the same floor.

Sam Lipnowski was able to stop Arvin Dawa's unbeaten streak at 11, and in the process take clear first in the October TNT. There was a 5 way tie for second at 3 points.
