The Manitoba Chess Association will be having a blitz tournament on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 1:00 pm on Broadway (between Edmonton & Carlton) as part of the Ciclovia festival hosted by Downtown Winnipeg Biz. http://www.downtownwinnipegbiz.com/home/events/ciclovia/ see 7. BLOCK 4 BROADWAY (btwn Edmonton St & Carlton St) Entry to the tournament is free -- just show up a few minutes before 1:00 to register. The tournament will consist of 5 rounds, with each player allowed 5 minutes to make all their moves. Prizes will be provided by Second Cup. !st prize: $50 gift certificate. 2nd & 3rd: $25 gift certificate. There will also be a giant chess board at the event during the day, from 11:00 to 8:00, so bring your friends and join in the fun. |

Zaczek-Kaptsan looked like it was also going to be drawn, but Aron blundered in a just slightly worse position.
