The Manitoba Chess Association will be holding an Active Chess Tournament in honour of the late George Anderson. It will be a 5 round tournament, starting at 10 am, with an entry fee of $15. Time controls will be 25/game . There will be a special thematic prize (George was known for playing the Orangutan Opening 1. b4, as well as playing 1...a6 or 1...a5 as Black) of $25 for the person scoring the most points in games using these openings.
